Stephen Miller Gallery of Menlo Park and Decorative Arts Showroom of Redwood City, California offer an extraordinary selection of hand-woven rugs for fine homes and offices, including antique, contemporary, custom, traditional, and tribal.
We have some of the most exquisite antique rugs (see above) in the San Francisco Bay Area. From collectible Caucasian and Persian Tribal rugs to grand, subtle-toned, decorative pieces.
Our contemporary Tibetan rugs (see above) are chosen for their exquisite design, texture and unmatched depth and nuance of color. By combining hand-spun, hand-carded Himalayan wool (sometimes with silk), with either natural or Swiss metal complex dyes, the spectrum of color achieved is luminous and ever changing.
Our Needlepoint and Aubusson rugs (see above) are stitched entirely by hand and made of the finest imported wools. A single piece from this collection may require as many as 70 colors to produce. The use of many colors allows the weavers to achieve crisp detail, delicate shading, and lifelike three-dimensional quality.
Many of the traditional design rugs (see above) at Stephen Miller Gallery draw their inspiration from late 19th century Persian and Indian carpets.
The tribal rugs shown above are contemporary productions making use of natural dyes and hand-spun wools.
